We are looking for a skilled and organised individual with a passion for GIS and imagery analysis to join our team for six months as a GIS Technician to deliver cutting-edge projects for our clients.

About the Job

 

As a key member of our team, you will use your expertise to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality expectations. Whether working independently or collaborating with small teams, you will be responsible for managing your own work and ensuring that good communication is maintained with colleagues and clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

Data analysis: Use ArcGIS software and MS Excel to design relevant and appropriate analysis that provides the insight our clients need to answer their questions.

Presentation of results: Use mapping and other visualisation techniques to present the results of analysis in a clear and precise way so that clients understand the analysis.

Data management: Clean, process, and load data to support project tasks.

Remote sensing: Exploit imagery from a variety of sources to extract information using semi-automated processes to support analysis and inform our clients.

Report writing: Write effective and clear documents to capture methodologies in a logical manner.

About you

Ideally, you will have 2 or more years practical experience working with:

 

  • Esri ArcPro

  • Esri ArcGIS Online

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

 

It would be great if you have experience using Google Earth Engine, ERDAS Imagine, SOCKET or ENVI image analysis software.

 

Experience using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator would also be beneficial.

About the Job

As our Business Development Associate, your primary role will be to support the Business Development team in identifying and developing new business opportunities and contributing to the proposal writing for ongoing bids.  Your responsibilities will include:

Opportunity Identification:  Monitoring tender platforms and social media for new opportunities

Client / Donor Awareness: Staying up-to-date on industry trends and our clients' strategic ambitions

Lead Generation:. Identifying and developing relationships with key stakeholders, including major donors and NGOs

Subject Matter Expert Engagement: Managing technical and thematic partnerships and seeking out collaboration opportunities.

Contributing to Tender and Proposal Generation:

  • Develop bid plans and coordinate bid materials

  • Submit bids on time and to quality expectations

  • Draft white papers and other external-facing materials

  • Liaise with business and delivery teams to understand client offerings

  • Support contract negotiations and scope of work iterations

  • Assist external-facing business development team as needed

Technical Skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Word, Powerpoint and Excel).

  • Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM tool.
