Ed van Zeller
Business Development Manager
Ed’s work has focused on developing innovative methodologies using Geographic Information Systems, (GIS) alongside traditional ground-truthing approaches to forward social-science research and supply-chains management. Ed has recent experience working on social-science research involving migration, livelihoods and agriculture.
Ed has specialised in data collection techniques that cross educational and cultural divides. He has supported approaches to collecting data in culturally sensitive environments affected by conflict, complex customs, illiteracy and aid-manipulation including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nigeria and Ghana.
Ed is particularly interested in visual learning, specifically how best to visualise complex information so that a client may process more information in less time, allowing busy people to make quick, effective and informed decisions. Thereby leading to faster sharing of information to multiple recipients resulting in more efficient and effective action.
